What we don't do — and where we'll point you

Where the law requires a licensed specialist, or the stakes are too high for DIY — we say so plainly and point you to the right place.

WE DON'T DO

Immigration matters

Immigration advice in the UK may only be given by an IAA-registered adviser or a lawyer — without registration it's a criminal offence, even for free.

WHERE TO GO
The IAA adviser register on gov.uk — some advisers work in Polish.

WE DON'T DO

Individual debt advice

We provide templates and procedural information. We don't tell you which debts to pay or whether to go bankrupt — that's regulated advice.

WHERE TO GO
StepChange · National Debtline · Citizens Advice — free and confidential.

WE DON'T DO

Criminal matters · family matters involving children

At the police station you're entitled to a free duty solicitor — always use one before you say anything. In children's matters, the stakes are too high for a template.

WHERE TO GO
Duty solicitor (free at the police station) · Law Society — find-a-solicitor search.

Why we say this openly

A service that claims to help with everything helps with nothing. The limits of what we do aren't small print — they're part of the product. If you find it here, it means you can genuinely do it well yourself.
